The host hotel for MAPFSW is:
Matador Oceanfront Resort
511 E 16th Ave
North Wildwood, NJ 08260
Attendees will be responsible for reserving and covering the cost of their rooms for MAPFSW, except for new honorees who are being recognized for the first time (or what are known as 1st year honorees.)
A block of rooms will be set aside at the host hotel and attendees will get a special discounted weekend rate. The weekend rate for the Matador Oceanfront Resort is $239 (plus taxes) for the weekend for a family of four. Check in is at noon on Friday and 3 pm checkout on Sunday. Besides the two night and three day package the price also includes one breakfast for a family of four. Extra person charge is $40.00, while children under 6 are free.
Please reserve your room at the Matador Oceanfront Resort at 609-522-1234 and let them know you will be there for Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors Weekend.
If your fallen officer or firefighter has not yet been recognized at the MAPFSW event, you are considered a first-year attendee. If you are submitting the ‘First Year Attendee Submission’ form (see: Registration), up to two rooms at the Montego Bay will be paid by the MAPFSW committee. Please contact the North Wildwood Police Dept. at 609‐522‐2030, ext. 1504 and let them know you are a first‐year MAPFSW attendee and need to make hotel arrangements. This only applies to first‐year honorees.
In previous years, the MAPFSW committee made every effort to obtain donations from the community and businesses in order to cover the cost of hotel rooms for returning attendees. The expense of covering such a large number of rooms was very high and only increased every year, although donations and other financial support decreased. Therefore, returning attendees will be responsible for making their reservations and covering the cost of the room for the event weekend.
