MID-ATLANTIC POLICE & FIRE
SURVIVORS' WEEKEND
NEW DATES: October 1-3, 2021

WELCOME!

IMPORTANT: Hello, dear survivors and supporters! This has been a very odd and tough year for many. Because of the current pandemic and for everyone's safety, the MAPFSW 2020 event has been cancelled, which is not an announcement that we want to make. Events that take place in North Wildwood at around the same time of year, including the Irish Fall Festival, have been cancelled as well. We hope for everyone's continued health and look forward to a much stronger MAPFSW in 2021.

We're all quite sad that we can't spend time with each other this year. Since we weren't together at the vigil, please take a few moments to honor the fallen officers, and their survivors, whom we've recognized over the history of MAPFSW. The virtual vigil listing can be viewed on YouTube at https://youtu.be/7TDUHuwhfqs.

Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors' Weekend (MAPFSW) is a series of events that recognize truly forgotten heroes: the survivors of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters, including family members and co-workers. It is a weekend in autumn when old friends get to see each other and new survivors become part of our close-knit family. The next MAPFSW will take place from October 1-3, 2021.

The weekend focuses on survivors from the following states: New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. However, in past years we have honored the requests of families that reside in our region and hosted families from Georgia and Colorado, in addition to those from the Mid-Atlantic region. We are also different in that we recognize survivors from not just the current year, but those that were killed in the line of duty from the past. The event is hosted annually by the North Wildwood Police Department and is held in the seashore resort of North Wildwood, New Jersey.
